Resources for Leeds Schools developed with the Leeds Music Education Partnership

We are a partner with the Leeds Music Education Partnership (LMEP). They support us in many ways and have funding available for Leeds schools who want to use our services. Click below for more information.

For students developing a DJ mix or preparing for GCSE we offer this downloadable “Lead Sheet”. This can be used to detail all the steps involved and takes the place of a musical score.

For teachers trying to ascertain the level of demand of a students’ work we offer this assessment matrix. It should help understand how DJing is comparable to traditional instruments.

Shown here is our cross-curricular resource booklet for students. The booklet contains literacy, numeracy, geography, history and music curriculum learning outcomes all based on the theme of DJing.

It is not age or ability-specific and teachers are advised to choose specific pages which suit their class.

Although these videos were not designed for pupils, some teachers have found certain videos useful. If you feel they are suitable then feel free to use them but please bear in mind that was not our intention.
