FAVOURITE GENRES:

I love all types of music, from classical to hip hop to house. But the 3 top genres in my playlists right now are indie rock, indie Electro pop and jazz funk

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Before moving to Leeds I was involved in a lot of live performances using both traditional and digital instruments. I was a classical Flute performer for 15 years but then became a producer in 2014 after signing up to a music production course run by Access Creative College in Lincoln. I've been writing and producing my own songs ever since. I have experience in studio recording, live sound engineering, mixing, music business and have just graduated from a BA degree in Music Production at Leeds Beckett University. Previous work include events such as the BBC Proms, Latitude Festival, Live at Leeds as well as several local festivals & gigs. Alongside working at DJ School UK, I now work as a mobile DJ hosting weddings and events & as a peripatetic guitar & piano teacher across West Yorkshire. As well as this I am passionate about and advocate for gender and racial equality as well as disability inclusion in both the music industry and music education.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TEACHING MOST?:

I love teaching performance techniques and songwriting. I've been performing on a variety of instruments since aged 4, so anything that gets me up feeling a rhythm, I love passing down to my students.
