Breeze Arts Festival 2014 DJ Project Breeze Arts Festival 2014

Do you want to learn how to DJ?
Do you want to perform in a music venue?
Do you want to perform on Briggate in Leeds City Centre
Are you aged 11-19?

DJ School UK would like to offer you the chance to learn the skills required to become a DJ, artist and performer using some of the most up to date professional DJ equipment available in our studio in Leeds City Centre.

Whether you are a beginner or have some experience DJing you are welcome to take part in this project. For the more experienced and able we would like to develop you to produce new concepts and ideas in DJing by supporting you to produce new musical material.

Each week we will introduce another element of DJing varying the creative skills such as mixing, scratching, performance and artist development. We will then support everyone who takes part to work towards a performance for friends and family. We are looking for young people aged between 11 and 19 years old who can be committed to the duration of the project. The course is free.

The sessions run on Tuesday evenings at 6.00pm to 7.30pm for 11-14 year olds and 7.30pm to 9.00pm for 15-19 year olds beginning on Tuesday 3rd June 2014 until Tuesday 8th July 2014. There will be a performance showcase on Tuesday 15h July 2014 at The Wardrobe music venue prior to the main performance on Briggate, Leeds City Centre on Saturday 19th July 2014.
